Latin name: Cymbopogon nardus. Family name: Graminacaea. The oil is distilled from the herb and is imported from India. It has a fresh grassy-woody scent. Traditional Chinese medicine currently uses this herb for rheumatic pain. Some traditional uses: as a mosquito repellent, for colds, flu and neuralgia, to relieve pain of rheumatism and arthritis, melancholy. Avoid using on sensitive or damaged skin. Blends with: geranium, lemon, bergamot, orange, cedarwood and pine.
